  • British police official said that there are 12 men arrested in Britain. They believed those suspects was preparing a terrorist attack in Britain. Those suspects, aged between 17 and 28, were arrested in a large-scale security operation stretching from London and Stoke-on-Trent in England to Cardiff, Wales.

Yates said the early morning arrests were part of a large-scale, pre-planned, intelligence-led operation.
He said the operation was in its “early stages” and that the suspects will be questioned on suspicion of preparing acts of terrorism.

Britain's lead officer for counter-terrorism, John Yates declined to give further details, he saying only that the arrests were necessary to ensure public safety.

Britain has been on high alert after raising its terror threat level earlier this year to “severe,” which according to Britain's Home Office means that a terrorist attack is “highly likely.”
